Learn how to own and operate a retail store in one accelerated educational workshop.
This one day, semi-annual workshop is hosted by Global Purchasing Companies’ retail strategists as well as other industry professionals.
Topics of the day will cover:
-Basic rules of retailing
-Location and its impact on success
-Buying do’s and dont’s
-Branding and marketing your business
-Events and promotions
-Analysis by the numbers (with an emphasis on open-to-buy budgeting and discovering your breakeven point)
-Merchandising and displays
-Positioning your business for growth
-Elements of e-tailing as a secondary revenue stream
Guest speakers will be announced before date of the event.
Lunch will be provided.
Letters for visa applications and certificates of completion can be provided.
This is a great opportunity to acquire the tools needed to open a retail store, as well as make adjustments to your existing business.
Class Size and Cancelations
Classes are limited to 10 students.
We require at least a 2 day notice to cancel any reservations. If you cancel within 2 days of the workshop, you may use your credit for a future class. Cancellations earlier than 2 days of the class are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. If you are paying in cash or check at the time of the class, a credit card number is needed to hold your reservation. While it happens rarely, we have the right to cancel a workshop. A full refund will be issued.
